Time: 3:00PM - 5:00PM Location: Multi-purpose Room Director Christian Carion's Acadamy Award-nominated account of the true-life wartime event offers hope for peace in mankind's darkest hour. The year is 1914, and World War I continues to rage across the European countryside. On Christmas Eve of that year, the lonely souls of the front lines abandoned their arms to reach out to their enemies on the battlefield and greet them with not anger or hostility, but with the simple, kindly gesture of a much needed cigarette or a treasured piece of chocolate, and to put their differences aside long enough to with their brothers a sincere "Merry Christmas!" 1:00 and 3:00 p.m., in the Multi-purpose Room. Light refreshments will be available, and a discussion will follow the film.  |
