New Sanctuary Movement Press Conference
Mothers and faith leaders from across the religious spectrum will join with the New York City Sanctuary Coalition to plead for legal protection for two New York City families facing deportation, as the Coalition marks its first anniversary on Thursday, May 8, at 11:00 a.m. in Christ Chapel. The Riverside Church. The Coalition will call on Senator Charles Schumer to introduce the Child Citizen Protection Act and will press the Senator for an end to the Department of Corrections and other New York City agencies’ collaboration with the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency.
