The main purpose of this program is to oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive Christian Education Ministry that facilitates learning and nurturing towards mature, effective Christian living.
The Academy of Cooperative Christian Education and Living (ACCEL) is the teaching parish umbrella for all educational offerings of The Riverside Church. The purpose of ACCEL is to provide spiritual nurture, guidance and instruction that leads to mature Christian living with a sense of our responsibility as children of God to transform our community and world into a more just, peaceful and equitable place for all people of God.
Children ages 2 ½ years through 6 years old enjoy high quality early childhood education. The school, in operation for over 80 years, follows a multicultural approach to teaching young children. The school consistently meets the needs of its ethnically, religiously, and economically diverse student body. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual growth. For tours and to receive an application, call (212) 870-6743.
