Family Arts Festival

The 9th Annual New York Family Arts Festival takes place during the month of June bringing together hundreds of families from all over the city. The Festival continues to empower and celebrate the family through fun culturally innovative performances, offering opportunities to share creative experiences and improve communication.

Each of our Cultural Villages include full days of music and dance performances, workshops, storytelling, marketplaces, crafts, and food vendors that embrace the various traditions and cultures of New Yorkers. This year’s Cultural Villages will reflect the rich traditions of the South African, Trinidad & Tobago, and Venezuelan communities.

This year’s New York Family Arts Festival begins with A Community Unity Picnic in Sakura Park. Join us for an extraordinary day of arts & crafts, performances, workshops and games, as well as free food.

The cultural experience will continue with our annual Salute to the Family, a delightful afternoon of dance, jazz, and gospel; Artz, Rootz and Rhythm, an evening of celebrating the next generation of dance and music performers; a celebration of the women of percussion in Power of Drum II; and our very own Youth Theatre production of The reign of the Puppet Master, energetic evening of swing dance with the Jazz Museum in Harlem Big Band and more.
