Christ Chapel Chamber Series

Time: 3:00PM - 4:00PM Location: Christ Chapel Celtic Music for St. Patrick's Day Darius Kaufmann, bagpipes, Irish whistles and flutes Master Irish musician Darius Kaufmann will perform a festive musical program in honor of St. Patrick's Day, as well as share history and interative demonstrations of the traditional instruments and dress of the Celtic piper. PROGRAM: Bagpipe performance Demonstration of how the pipes work History of bagpipes and traditional outfit (kilt, etc.) Irish whistle: Danny Boy, jigs and reels Spoons: used to accompany singing of Beggar Man Bodhran (Irish drum) Small pipes (shuttle pipes) Bagpipe Finale A free-will offering for the artist will be taken at the door.  |
